Hi Speci boys and Andrew,
Sorry I been fishing alot not really had the time to chat. However I have been observing the convergance of the match and speci styles of fishing. obo 1) Very well known match angler purchasing Carp rod big rings and all 3lb TC ( I think that means Twin Carb). I can't say any more as it may give international tatics away. Obo 2) Speci boy bought a margin pole 4m he was asked if he wanted the Top kit elasticated he declined said it would be a waste of money as he was going to use it as a prop for he washing line.
Anyway Andy when are you free for our first match M8 No he was really going to use it in edge at his secret venue in Redditch a 30 acre lake I wonder where that is? Obo3)Several of my mates going off to fish for 30lb Carp on the pole with lots of pellets and I mean lots. Lowest weight 150lb top weight on the day 390lb took the money. He had 52lb in 20mins. He was wearing camo trousers, I sure this did not influence his result 'cos he always wears them.

And for the rest of the match - well what can I say!

For those who have been following the story of the specimen angler versus the match angler. Today we had our first match on Lodge Pool. Well the match went ahead and here is the first result Round 1 - Lodge PoolDeadred - Won the toss and choose his peg number and we both fish using the pole. ResultsDreadred (the match angler) - Peg 13 - 8lb 11ozs Andrew Burgess (specimen angler) - Peg 15 - 17lb 9ozsYes Deadred as you were saying ok speci boy I was going just gonna beat ya but now I'm gonna whoop ya big style, so bring it on bro. Ahem shouldn't that be the other way round! ;D So what have you got to say Deadred? So Andrew Burgess is in the lead of 9lb 2oz margin. Round 2 will be soon when we can fix a date for both of us!

Now lads I waited for Andrew to put the record straight but it seems that he taking this far too seriously.
Andrew never moved off his box for 5 solid hours eyes glued to the float tip. " no m8 it's not serious it's abit of a laugh"
I on the other hand was called away on Club business by the new Chairman namely telling a non member he could not fish with a fly. Then explaining the situation to the Chairman for well over an hour.
Plus a further hour befriending the chap who had been fly fishing who happens to be the next Mayor of Redditch who may be a very useful contact for the Juniors next year.
But it's war now sod the friendly competition I'm gonna batter next match.
Budgie you might be right I could be crap.
But I look good on the bank. No1 Tackle tart.
