Hi my name is Steve "Budgie" Burgess.I was introduced to this site by my brother Andrew. I currently live in Ashford, Kent. I used to live in Redditch prior to me leaving home to join the Army way back in 1976.Never got to fish Lodge Park as it was always a "closed shop" back then!
Im 44 years old now and have been fishing since the age of 5.Would describe myself as an "All round angler" and have been lucky enough to have fished for many species all round the world.Been involved in the tackle trade mainly design and manufacture rather than retail.Also been employed as a proffesional guide for several years.Due to the unexpected birth of my latest daughter I am now once again living in the UK and back to doing a normal boring job to pay the mortgage!
I am by no means an expert but if I can use my years of fishing experience to help others I always try to.I regularly run "Pike teach ins" for clubs both locally and through out the country.I have also wrote several articles for Internet sites on both tackle repair/manufacture and various angling tactics.
Looking forward to being part of this site.
Who knows Andy might even be able to wrangle me a days fishing after all these years!
