Carpy trust you to find a beer tent at the Evesham Angling Festival. ;D Anyway I might be up there this time with my mate for the tackle bargains but anyone who is also going up there is to watch out for the prices on the tackle, they might be bargains or they will be on the high side of the price. So just think really think careful what you are buying. I know some friends who have been rip off until they find later that you can get it cheaper elsewhere. See you all up there then

I will be visiting over the weekend. Been to the Evesham Festival for a few years. Loads for the family to do, keeps the wife and kids happy. Will be looking for a few bits of tackle. I am always careful Andrew. I think most anglers are aware of the going rate of tackle they are looking for.

I will be taking a visit. Yes i still call it the John Smiths. The Avon was a prolific venue 20 years ago, and declined. It seems to be picking up again, fish starting to show, on all stretches of the Avon. Only hope it continues. Got no money to spend so it will be a family day out. Might catch you thier.

Anglerpaul, Well I took your advice to ring the shop but still went down! The fishing items was only a few left in the shop but selling out fast and also being reduced as well I have seen it in the carp magazines and it not the same as seen it in real and was desperate to get one as the foul weather broke the last one. so I still went down just after 9.30am and was back by 12.00pm not a bad journey as well brought a few more bits and pieces ;D Well it look like I am and my mate will be going tomorrow so anyone there want advice of me on the tackle to buy - I be there after 12.30pm in the beer tent if there one

In it an old funny old world as Carpy and I must be thinking of the same thing in different part of England Carpy went to Evesham to get an Umbrella and came back with this The reason I went to Bicester was that I was looking for an new umbrella as I did have an old Relum Brotel and was getting old and offered no rain protecting. So it was time for a new one. my choice was this The next generation of umbrellas, Frank Got a really fair price for that one! ;D Carpy did you get a set of mini storm poles for you side protection of your umbrella?
