This is very embarrassing for me today as this had taken me at least 25years to improve my personal best carp!
In 1980 when I was unemployed I used to go fishing at Arrow Valley Lake for the carp fish and my best carp was 8lb but for 25 years I have come and go for carp fishing and built up the knowledge of some carp fishing and also fishing for other species as well.
In the last few weeks my friend and I went carp fishing and which did ended in a disaster as a small chunky mirror carp with a small mouth with a 15mm boilie! And one suicidal Gudgeon on a size 8 hook with a pop up pellet
Today I went back to this private venue which I cannot or will not reveal the location as well.
Everything started very slow as always until 1020 when one of my rod went into action which resulted a new best for me a whopping 14lb 9oz Mirror Carp and twenty minutes later another personal best carp and this one weighed in at 15lb 2ozs. So two personal best in one day can't be bad afterall!
This one weighed in at 14lb 9ozs but unfortunately the 15lb 2oz picture did not materializes
I just hope it won't be another 25 years to beat it again
