Lodge Park Junior Match Saturday 3rd September 2005

Competition: Secretary Shield

Draw: 1pm

Fishing Started: 2pm

Fishing Finished: 5pm

Venue: Lodge Pool

The following anglers who took part are

The draw took place outside the clubhouse by an fishing member Mike Padgett of the Lodge Park Angling Association. All the names of juniors who took park were placed in a box and as the names came out they each chose a peg as follows:-

General Match details

Today the weather was not too hot but just warm with a slight ripple on the water. Everyone done well to catch some carp, roach and perch.

As me walking around the pool, I did see quite a few carp cruising along by the wall by the pool.

Saturday 8th October 2005 L.P.A.A. Cup

The weather was against these juniors as it was cold and and raining at times.

The Juniors who turned up are...

Jason Abbotts
Dan Adams
Anna Padgett

The drawn took place and the following junior went to choose theirs peg as followed

Anna Padgett.....Peg 13

This was a very close match between the two boys on each opposite of the pool as the weather did played havoc on them but they did really well to catch fish

2nd Place.........Dan Adams............6lb 1oz
3rd Place.........Anna Padgett............14oz

Competition: Farmers Cup

Draw: 1pm

Fishing Started: 2pm

Fishing Finished: 5pm

Venue: Lodge Pool

The following anglers who took part are'

Chris Hensey, Dan Adams, Jason Abbotts and Anna Padgett.

This most the most hardest match I have seen for a very long which was won only by a few ounces while now as the weather was generally overcast with a slight wind across the pool. All the competitors agreed to fished along the wall on either using feeder, pole or float method.

It was Anna Padgett using the float method which got off the good start by catch few roach and perch before anyone else start catching as the wind did played a bit she was bumbing quite a few fish as well. Dan Adams also on the float start well on gradually catching few perch while Chris on the feeder went into a straight commanding leads in the match by catching 3 carp but only to lose the match in the final minutes to Dan Adams who hook a decent carp when the horn went off(signal of end the match) which under match rules the Dan an extra 1/2 hour to land the fish.

Unfortunately I won't be there for the last junior match on the November 12th 2005 as I will be away for a few days.

So Mike Padgett have agreed to take over from me on this last match and soon as I get the results it will be posted here.

On the 6th March 2006, I collected the trophies from the Lodge Park Angling Association and took them to Redditch & Bromsgrove Trophies to have all the winner names added. Today I collected the trophies and they have made a grand job on added the names to the trophies.

Now I have just got back from the Lodge Park Angling Association to put the trophies back in it cabinet.

Well it had been a very good first year for me as being the Juniors Match Secretary and hopefully will be re-elected for the second year.
