Lodge Park Junior Angling Contests for 2005
Saturday 18th June 2005 Lenny’s Cup
Saturday 9th July 2005 Stewards Salver
Saturday 16th July 2005 Redditch Trophies Saturday 20th August 2005 Redditch Federation
Saturday 3rd September 2005 Secretary Shield
Saturday 8th October 2005 L.P.A.A. Cup
Saturday 29th October 2005 Farmers Cup
Saturday 12th November 2005 L.P.R.A. Cup
All the draws will be take place at 1.00pm at the clubhouse and will fish at 2.00pm to 5.00pm (3hour match)
Entry Fee will be £3.00 including pools
There will be no peg fee be charged for the Juniors
All donations for our junior section for prizes would be much appreciated.

Right I have put up the first match sheet for the Juniors Match Section on Saturday 4th June (yesterday) on the LPAA Notice board-
The first match junior will be fishing for the Lenny's Cup on Saturday 18th June 2005
Draw at 1.00pm by the clubhouse and start fishing at 2.00pm and finish fishing at 5.00pm
Entry Fee will be £3.00 including pools.
No peg fee will be charged for juniors
So start putting your name down on the Lodge Park Angling Association notice board

Lodge Park Junior Match Saturday 18th June 2005 Competition: Lenny's Cup Draw: 1pm Fishing Started: 2pm Fishing Finished: 5pm Venue: Lodge Pool I would like to say thank you to the Junior members of the Lodge Pool Angling Association who turned up for the Lenny's Cup Competition as this is my first time as the Junior Match Secretary. The junior members who took part in this competition were Greg Bonner and Emma Bonner, Scott Smith, Anna Padgett, Dan Adams and Arron Hawkins. The draw took place outside the clubhouse by an independent member of the Lodge Park Residents Association. All the names of juniors who took park were placed in my cap and as the names came out they each chose a peg as follows:- Greg Bonner.................Peg 4 Scott Smith.................Peg 5 Anna Padgett...............Peg 7 Arron Hawkins..............Peg 41 Emma Bonner...............Peg 42 Dan Adams..................Peg 45 General Competition Details: The weather was very hot today and the Juniors did really well to catch a few fish. The Carp were playing about near the surface but not feeding as I would like to see them. Also, thanks to Mike Padgett for donating other tackle which I understand came out of the LPAA funds. It was nice to see all the Dads supporting the youngsters and I hope they will be able to make it to future events.

The juniors did ever so well especially under the conditions of the weather and the wind. What can I say about the winner! All I know that this person came second again in the last mid week match on the 17th August and today put a fine display of catching carp in today match. The results was this 1st Place.....Emma Bonner..........35lb 15oz......6 Carp 2nd Place....Jason Abbots...........28lb 12oz.....7 Carp 3rd Place.....Ashley Harris...........17lb 8oz.......4 Carp 4th Place.....Dan Adams..............10lb............2 Carp =6th Place...Greg Bonner*...........* Caught a carp but escape from keepnet .................Chris Hensey............No fish I would like to say congratulations to Emma Bonner on a splendid match and a true competitor of the fishing match. Well Emma, I am very disappointed in you for not telling the world of your secret ingredient, you must have seen your dad either buying the groundbait or mixing it. So there no excuse for keeping a secret from us. ;D If that don't work, I will have to start working on your father on buying all the Newcastle Brown Ale for him. ;D I might have to start thinking of banning all groundbait and particle baits & carp pellets in the next match to stop you winning again! ;D At least we have found out what bait flavour it was! ;D

Norman there nothing wrong with my nose, you ought to know by now that I don't interfere with your daughter or anyone's groundbait while she/he is fishing in a match. But I will do before the match next time! ;D
