This month I am totally committed to spend more time fishing on the secret pool in Worcestershire as next few months will be switching over to piking Anyway arrived there very early in the morning while you're still sleeping in bed! First of all set one rod up for the PVA bag into this area - Blue dot on the picture As I was setting the 2nd rod as the normal inline setup with a stringer to go in the yellow dot of the picture the 1st rod was screaming as I had a run/bite which landed an 8lb 13oz. So quickly casted out the inline and started think about setting the 3rd rod up alas the mthod feeder - specimen style Once that the line was clip into the swinger/ bite alarm - guess what happen next? Yes you guess it - I was in again on the 2nd rod and after a little battle, I knew it was close to beating the personal best - yes it was over weighing at 16lb 8ozs Sorry about the picture forgot I have the flash on So everything was quite for a bit so this gave me time to set the 3rd rod again, then the light rain came only for about half hour so this gave me a good chance to put up my new umbrella Then all broke loose as it was none stop action all day This one was weighing at 11lb 3oz. So my final tally was 9 doubles figures and 6 single figures - here the break down I had in the fish order 8lb 13oz, 16lb 8oz, 11lb 3oz, 11lb 2oz, 4lb 8oz, 5lb 10oz, 9lb 13oz, 12lb 14oz, 13lb 12oz, 7lb 7oz, 7lb 10oz, 14lb 3oz, 10lb 3oz, 10lb 6oz & 10lb 3ozs. Grand total of 164lb 11oz - yes my arm is still hurting at this moment! ;D

Yes well done mate Pb not to bad. Bet you did have a hard time, i could have only use 1 rod on a water with carp to that size. Using three asking for trouble. Setting up a method feeder rod as well, What happens when you get three runs. Which is possible with fisheries with fish of this size. If you had set up all 3 with tackle and rigs for only the the big ones. I reckon you will you pb with a 20 plus. You will only make thing worse using the method feeder tactics with 3 rods. Method feeding only works to its best for a short time, and you have to recast. which will Spock the larger fish looking at your boilies, only 10 yards away. I use 2 rods sometimes if i know large fish are present, and if im going for them. I will fish one rod going for them, and line stop the other one with a feeder or method feeder. to get the bait over them. Bait going in the same place almost every time over the big bait. Not got a baitboat. moon You will get that 20 plus soon Andrew. How many licences you got to get to fish with 3 rods. ;D

Anglerpaul, moon why is it that I seem to get an offensive and a criticize reply from you on using a 3 rod set up? As it is quite normal for this pool allow me to fish with three rods anyway as you quoted in your last post to me You pray! ;D (joke there just in case you didn't get it) No seriously Anglerpaul this is no hardship as you carry on holding the first rod, hit it and set the hook, then transfer the rod into the other hand. Pick up the second rod with your other hand to hit the rod and set the hook is in then put it back down on the buzzer bar. not on the bite alarms as this will be screaming of the sound of the bite alarm, put the baitrunner on. Then the 3rd rod do exactly the same as the 2nd rod. Land the 1st fish and then leave it in the landing(in the water) and deal with the 2nd. Just make sure the 2nd fish is totally played out before you net it otherwise the 1st fish can swim out of the net. In I am with a fishing mate I let him have the 2nd run and by the time the first on is in the net, I goes to the 3rd fish This had happen when fishing with a mate of mine who did have more less the same time but he ask me to take it ( This is what we called helping each other out) but last Sunday I did have two run at the same time as as I followed the procedure for the 1st rod and the 2nd rod and landing both fish. Anyway I always carry and set up a second landing net if necessary just in case I have two runs. In carp fishing Anglerpaul that you never use more than 2 rods maximum NEAR snags and only one when fishing in or right up to them. So if you care to look at the the first picture that no hook bait of mine is near any tree roots/snag and 2 rods(yellow and blue mark, they are away from the roots by18 yards) And 1st rod (red mark)is out in the open. Oh yes by the way you do need two rod licences if you are fishing with 3 rods! ;D
