I am think going to this Fishery in a few weeks time www.fisheries.co.uk/barston/index.htmand keen to have a go on a couple of overnight session. Having read all the information from the website and I am just wondering if any of the Lodge Park Angling Association members been there. If so how did you get on?

Sorry Andrew missed this one. I lived 1/2 mile from Barston Lake. Used it 3 or for times a week. It used to fish great. Its more of a fishery now. Last time i fished it was 6 years ago. Some good sized fish to be caught, but ithink it is now over fished. I always fished the River Blythe on the same venue. You could catch pike double figures, chub, trout, roach, dace, carp, and eels. Good fishing all year round.

Thanks Stu, This was going to be a bit a carp fishing but will be having a look at it maybe for the piking in the winter as I am struggling to find a good venue for piking now. My local one was destroyed and a carp syndicate took over the water, the fees are sky high for a yearly rate
