I fish with two rods on a lot of venues. I suspect that, like most of you, I always get a bite on the leger rod when I am nature watching, pouring coffee or taking a pee thus.....I am thinking of getting a single bite alarm so that I can do all of these things. Or does it cheap to do the job. Any help greatly appreciated.

I have just got some new bite alarms. I picked this model These Fox Micron MX bite alarms were the first fully digital Fox alarms. They are exceptionally reliable and are packed with features, yet retain their own compact size. One of the key features is the two level sensitivity setting. When set at four magnet sensitivity it is ideal for long range fishing or even for roach and bream. Alternatively for prolific waters where fish are feeding confidently the two magnet option is perfect. Other features include low battery warning and a power out facility. The addition of the tone control that is not found on the Micron M makes this the ultimate alarm for the angler who would like to fish a multiple rod set up on a budget. Keep Fishin Andy

Not a great lover of Fox gear as most of you know! Their Predator alarms are an absolute liability! However I must admit their normal buzzers are quite good!
Ive got four of the origonal Mini Microns and have used these for around 10 years.Only problem Ive found with them is that if your using light bobbins (as when bream or tench fishing for exmple) the line can "skip" on the wheel and the alarm not sound properly.
Ive also got a Pair of Micron M's that were used during my guiding days. Most likely in that time they saw more rod hours than most anglers would in a life time! They wer the cheapest of the range at the time and not only worked well but never played up in even the worse weather.
No,when it comes to their alarms Im 100% with Andy on this one.
