My best Carp at Lodge is 9lb 12oz on Pleasure session in a match 8lb 8oz.
P.B elsewhere 22lb Ghostie at Whiteacres,Cornwall. on the pole with meat.
P.b Barbel 10lb 3oz River Avon at Harvington
I'm looking for my first double at Lodge Pool I'm sure I've lost at least half a dozen doubles in the last 12 months.

Thank God you answered mate! I was starting to think no one was catching on the pool this year with the lack of interest shown..............

It's sad really because the Pool has fished it's brains out this year. The most encouraging thing is that alot of 2 to 4 lb stamp of carp are being caught. These fish have to be home grown as restocked fish haven't had time to grow to this size. What appears to have happened is restocked fish have made the small home grown carp compete for food. The big carp are still there my trouble is landing them. The crafty old buggers either spit the hook at the net, bust me on 0.21 powerline or me to bits in the margins. But that's what keeps me going the challenge.

Not fished the pool much this year. Been trying new venues, but the match results show it is fishing much better. 80lb plus weights to win matchs. A lot of the small mirrors and silver fish, introduced last year are really coming on. And the larger carp are still showing. We put 5000 very small bream in the pool many years ago and they never showed, we all thought they had died. But people are catching them now, over a pound in size. So things are looking good for the pool.

The fishing on has improved greatly from last season even a muppet like me can catch.
The stocking policy will continue and at present the club is waiting for a movement order for the next batch of fish. This has been delayed due to the current virus in many Carp pools down south.
Hopefully we will be stocking Rudd and Tench as soon as the movement order is granted.
