This is a rig I use for pop up boilie and it caught me my personal best common carp on this tactic.
First of all I use the knotless rig basic set up without adding the loop. For those who don't know what is the knotless rig - please refer to this

You first of all add a piece of your chosen hooklenght so I am using fluorocarbon for photographic purpose, so thread the hooklenght through the eye
and make sure you leave enough tag
before whipping up the shank of the hook
then thread the main line of the hooklenght through the eye of the hook
Then this is the tricky bit fold the tag end into the eye of the hook
To stop the tag end coming out of the eye of the hook, you use a lighter
to burn a piece off to create a ball blob as here. So it end up like this.
Now for the next step of tying a pop up boilie to the D rig
This is what I do. First take a pop up boilie and I score a grove around the boilie as this will help me to tie it easy
and make a loop like this
and place the bait floss round the grove of the boilie and pull it gently to tighten it up
Once that is done to add it to the D loop of the hook as shown here
Put a couple of granny knot to secure the boilie on to the loop and I added a putty weight for photographic purpose but a use either a swan shot or a Fox kwik change pop up weight
At the other end of the hooklenght I added a swivel to it
And there you are all done a Pop up D-rig
