With the cost and poor quality of bait brought from tackle shops now is the time of year to get a few of you in a car and your arses down to the coast!
The Mackeral are well and truely in.Armed with you pike rod ,some feathers and some cool boxs you can fill your bait freezers for the comming winters piking.A lot better bait, cheaper and great fun!

How about doing me a favour Budgie . As you do owe me quite a few favours. As I am miles from the sea why don't you nip out for a week and catch a loads of Mackerel for me and shove them in the freezer and when the next time I come down I will take them off you

Oi don't be cheeky. ;D I don't mind eating any sort of fish but mackerel never like them but they do make superb pike bait.

I'm amazed the pair of you don't eat em all to be honest! Wouldnt need a week Andrew! one tide will normally get you enough for a winter or two! Dont know the score on the estuarey Mathew but a quik phone call to a local tackle shop should let you know.
