This winter I have to catch me my first pike, whether by Lure or deadbait....
Anyone got hints: Venues (nr Birmingham) Tactics Bait Rigs Anything...
If someone is going of a weekend and doesn't mind an observer I could just watch.....

I'd be happy to help you out Matthew to see if I can catch you your first pike, will show you the lot in the rigs, tackle, tactics, bait, catching and most importantly how to handle them and unhooking.

Matthew, we have talked about this not long ago. Have you tried piking before - if yes, on which area on the River Avon have you tried?

No Stu, not yet! The date is being arranged but it is on the 8th November. We might be going on a stillwater or the River Avon. Don't know yet until the day come!

Yeah lets see if we can do some mud wrestling again! In your case Matthew, we won't be mud wrestling - let you find out more on the day then you wish you never came. It's more like army training session for you laddie - How about this - Plenty of fresh air to breathe, wet and cold - enough to have the flu for a few weeks and plenty of walking with a heavy fully loaded kits -100lbs backpacks or more (it's depends how much stuff you be carrying for me) ;D - up to 10 miles! Up for this then Matthew? And further more it's in - let you find out on the day
