Hi all stumbled across this forum when looking for fishing clubs in redditch ! I used to fish arrow valley when i was growing up and it was full of fish and i had many happy days on it ! i fished it again the other day after a 5 year break and i bagged up BIG TIME. Not one carp either as i prepared an open ended feeder rig and bashed roach bream and skimmers all day long probably a ton up in 2 keep nets ! (although catch wasnt weighed) ! What a cracking venue and i wondered why no one really has matches on it ?? If any one knows of any matches i could enter in the redditch area let me know !!!! Cheers

I don't know any matches run on there except afew local club scrambles.

The match scene is now truly based in the main on commercials.

The valley has fallen by the wayside because of the sheer number of venues in the area.

I agree that The Valley is a brillant venue I was speaking to Paul Downes in the Tackle shop in Brum last Friday and he was telling that the previous weekend he took his wife and kids there and bagged up with Rudd and Skimmers.

He was having 5 fish a minute on a whip and reckons you could have 60lb easy.
