Well if I can get my finances sorted out that is!
Local rivers been a wash out so far due to all the rain but hopefully will start running off soon.Might be a blessing in disguise really as the floods will have cleared some of the pre cold weed.
Had a couple of nights Zedding in the week and that wasnt to good with the extra water but at least we caught a few.
Anyone else been out yet?

Yeah I've put in hours without a result over the last two years, then a few weeks suddenly I was doing it right, got two smallish pike. and everytime since although I haven't managed to hook anything I've had a lot of follows. It's a bit tricky because just as they are about to strike you hit vegetation at the margins.. but I notice its either begining ro die back or someone's cut the banks so I want to get back on the avon - was going on Sun but there were matches everywhere so no luck.

Hi there I used to go on the Avon at Stratford you normally come back with one or two, I even rented out one of those motorboats once and went upstream lovely stretch up there. They dont have many matches on there so you can usually get on ok. Dave

Stratford sounds great for me Dave. We will have to give it a go. Maybe we can get, a few members going and have a try too. Set a day most can attend, and have a good days piking. Im sure you will get help if you are new to piking.
Dave went for a few hours to day down the manmade in Lakside. I went to see how he was going on. He let me have a few casts with the lure, a small storm perch. And i got a small pike, very pleased.

I'm up for that too. I had a chat with frank and we thought this weekend might be a bit too short notice so we thought maybe we could go sunday 29th if people are available. Along the stratford avon you need to cast a few and then move on so we need to make sure we have minimal tackle with us.

Hi Andrew Can you make it on the 29th of October. We can all go from redditch together and I'll get directions for the rest if they want to go straight from home. There are not many parking spaces where I park so It would be better to all go in a couple of cars if possible.
