Saturday 19th February 2005 Venue: River Itchen, Southampton Time Started Fishing - 0900 Hrs Time Finish Fishing - 1530 Hrs Tackle Set Up: 1 x Diawa Jaguar De luxe 14th Float Rod 1 x Leeds Centrepin 5.5" with Drennan Float Fish 3.2lbs B.S. Line 1 x Drennan Loafer 2 1/2 Swan Shot 1 x Dennan Super Specialist Size 14 Hook 1 x Drennan Heavy Feeder Rod with a 2oz Quivertip 1 x Shimano Nexave Reel with Maxima 6lb B.S. Line 1 x Kamasan Bockend Feeder 1 x Maxima 4lb B.S. Hooklenght 1 x Drennan Super Specialist Hook Size 12 Bait 3 Pints of Red maggots This fishing was organised by a member of the AnglerNet Website - www.anglersnet.co.uk/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi which I am a member of This is my result My day start really slow after seeing Budgie catching his personal best grayling at 2lb 5ozs. I could not get going on the art of troting/float fishing. (but mind you I first started float fishing about twenty years ago but for some reason can't get back to it) ;D So I walk back to the car to get the feeder rod and started looking to see "where" I could catch my first grayling. After seeing and trying a couple of nice spot and twenty minutes in each one there was still no sign of fish to my credit! So thinking of me having a blanked day as always me being rubbish at fishing. ;D ;D As I wander down to towards the bridge I saw a nice looking shallow water running into a deep bay of a bend in the river. So I decided to chuck the block end feeder right against the iron corrugated iron sheet place in ther water to stop the bank wearing away. As I was looking at the tip of the feeder seeing some "knocks" as I thought the cold wind playing tricks again and all hell broke lose! bang the bite which results my first ever grayling at 2lb 8ozs as I was plying this grayling I suddenly realized that my landing net was 4ft away from me so playing this grayling and reaching for the landing net and thankfully managed to grab the net and netted the fish. So I called Budgie to "prove" that my first grayling was caught and after a couple of pictures (Hopefully Budgie will get them deleloped as soon as possible and post them to me to put on here. ) So went back to my peg and started catch a load of fish in the same peg as before. My final tally was 22 Grayling and 1 Brown trout again another new personal best brown trout of 12ozs.

This Angling Projects is run by a person call Les Webber. This is a non profit organistion. Les like to help the less privilege children who never do any fishing in their life. Les have a small lake which have some low double figures carp, pike and some specimen bream.
My Brother - Budgie had always done this Pike teach in numbers of years now and he invited me and my mate partner to join and have a nice weekend pike fishing.
Unfortulatly 1 small jack of 2 1/2lb was caught by someone on a spinner. Fishing was hard due to the water was very clear and the anti cormorant lines were in place we were unable to cast out further than a few yards.
It was more than made up for by the good fun we all had. Also both the raising of awareness for Les's Angling Projects and Junior Course Angling (UK) (which if you dont know is actually getting angling on various schools curiculums!) In addition to this members from this site raised a very creditable donation of £130 for Les's projects which are both funded entirely by himself!

Carp Rods 1 x Diawa S Carp Rod. 12ft, 2 1/4lb T.C. Card Rod 3 x Shimano 8010 Baitrunner Reels, 15lb B.S. Fox Warrior Line 3 x Various Weight 2ozs Flat Bombs 3 x ESP T6 Barbless Size 8 Hooks Baits: Kevin Nash Classic 15mm Boilie in Strawberry Jam Kevin Nash Classic 15mm Boilie in Pineapple Venom Bloodworm Pellets. This is the second time in a few week seeing this new water in the size of 2 acres and it is deep in some place with a single island. This is the only place I know apart from Larford fisheries that allow you to used three rods! I settle for peg near to the Island on the left rod baited with Strawberry Jam Boilie with a stringer of Boilies with it as well. The middle rod was Baited with Pineapple Boilies again with a stringer. The third rod was a PVA bag with Bloodworm pellets and a single pineapple boilie hookbait. Things started very slow with a few false line bite until 1020 the right rod with the PVA bag went into a screamer bite which result a 14lb 9oz Mirror Carp. Twenty minutes later the middle rod went which also resulted a 15lb 2oz Mirror Carp. Unfortunately the left rod did go but missed the bite as I was too slow getting off my backside to hit the strike quicker. No more further action but seeing a lot of Carp cruising near the surface, will be looking a different approach when I see the carp cruising again in a few days time. This one weighed in at 14lb 9ozs

Saturday 11th June - Monday 13th June Venue: Wingham Coarse Lake - Kent Time started fishing: Saturday 18.00Hrs Time Finish Fishing: Monday 12.00Hrs Tackle Set Up: 3 x Wychwood Specimen Barbel 12ft, 1 3/4lb T.C. rods 3 x Shimano 8010 Baitrunners Reels with Fox Warrior 10lb B.S. line 3 x Korda 1 1/2oz Lead 3 x Drennan beads stops 3 x Drennan Super Specialist 5lb B.S. mono hooklenght 3 x Drennan Super Specialist Size 8 Hooks Baits: 20kg Brown Breadcrumbs 1kg of Dendrobaena 8 tins of Sweetcorns 1kg of Mash Layers (additives) This fishing was organized by a member of the AnglerNet Website - www.anglersnet.co.uk/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi which I am a member of. Also met another member of the LPAA - MrMatthew also fishing there. Wingham is the most beautiful place I have ever fished. And it was my first time fishing there. Fishing is not easy but in my case very hard indeed. Me and my fishing partner Budgie we had some classic laughs on our tactical fishing at our 1st Wingham event. The first laugh is never ever buy a Prologic Connector for the buzzer bar as Budgie managed to a depth testing when trying to push the bankstick in the ground when all of suddenly just pop into the air and into the water(good job the Fox bitealarms were waterproof) My tactical approach was going to target the tench and the bream. Using a worms and sweetcorn cocktail on the two of the rods and the third rod with a hair rig sweetcorn. Me and Budgie starting fishing at 6pm and the very first minutes, I was getting some blips from my old optonics on the hair rig sweetcorn as Steve Burke(the organizer of this fish-in) was talking to Budgie about the fishing at Wingham. Throughout the night I was constantly getting blip from the sounder box and my vibrating pillow pad (which Budgie converted part of the sounderbox because of my deafness) Unfortulatly the fishing was very hard as at 1.40am had a belting run on the hair rig sweetcorn and was into a good fish but the main line was snap I would reckon a good tench maybe around 7 -8lb at that point I was completely gutted. Also in the later early morning had a typical bream linebite. Budgie also had a nice Perch at 3lb 9ozs in the early sunday morning Budgie - what a great fish mate I can't wait for next year fish in at Wingham

Date: Sunday 3rd July 2005 Venue: Private water in Worcestershire (can't name the water due do the fishing rules) Time Started: 0530Hrs Time Finish: 1800 Hrs Tackle Set Up 3 x Leeda Carp Duo 12ft, 2lb T.C. Carp Rods 3 x Shimano 8010 Baitrunner Reels, 15lb B.S. Fox Warrior Line 3 x Various Weight 1 1/2oz Inline Bombs 3 x ESP T6 Barbless Size 8 Hooks Baits: Kevin Nash Classic 15mm Boilie in Pineapple Venom Bloodworm Pellets. I have done it again. Well nearly! Been out carp fishing today on a private pool with my fishing partner Alec Stephens and it been a few week since I last visited the pool due to me being a junior match secretary and a few odd jobs around the home as well. The Last time I visited the pool I broke two new personal best carp in the space of twenty minutes. fjames.proboards6.com/index.cgi?board=car&action=display&n=1&thread=177My set up was still the 3 rods with two of them using the PVA bag with bloodworms pellets and a single Pineapple boilie. As usual my mate Alec pick the wrong side of the so called favourite peg so I was going to fish the other side but on the second thoughts I stayed with him. My first cast was into a little marginal shelf before it drop off deep. The second rod was a bit further down the bushes and the third rod with a single pineapple boilie with a stringer of 5 extra boilies out in the open area. It was not long after a fruitless hour the first rod of the marginal shelf was away. Picking up the rod and into a sweeping arc and into a big fish. After a lengthy battle it's finally broke the surface and I really thought I have broke the 20lb barrier but until I weigh the fish and the weight was showing 15lb 2ozs. Ah well maybe another time. That equal the personal best! Again after another hour went by my mate was plenty of line bite despite using backsleads and still no sign of a fish to him. My second bite was not long after the first bite which resulted a single figure mirror carp of 9lb 12ozs - Guess me on a winning peg today and Alec was still getting more and more line bites and false bites as well. The wind was also changing every few minutes in all directions. Alec broke his duck after 1pm when earlier I was making some more carp rigs with a hair rig and a size 8 hook and he pinch one of my made up rig and casted out and within a few minute was into another fish again which result a 10lb 6ozs And not long after that Alec was into another mirror carp of 9lb 4ozs. Me still had another 3 fish on the bank of 10lb 9ozs, 10lbs 3ozs 7lb 4ozs as well. Just after 2pm my mate Alec was going home as he had visitors coming to his house in the afternoon and I still carried on fishing. After Alec went home the carps started cruising near the surface, so me being like stalking them on a pedigree chum mixers and as I was getting into the hang of this lark my main first rod suddenly burst again as I hooked it, played a bit and it came off. Well can't win them all!
