Right, for the last two years, I have being using the Shimano Nexave Reel 3000R which I used for float fishing which is loaded at 3lb B.S. line and I also have the 4000R which I do used for feeder fishing which the line is at 6lb Monofilment line and another spare spool at Spiderwire 30lb Braid line which is the equivalent to 10lb mono. You will find all the Shimano reels are all very good and robust as long you look after them like washing the reel to remove the dirt and grease & groundbait So there is nothing wrong with your choice mate as you might find it better than the Nexave! or on the other hand you might find it cheaper than buying the Nexave than the Exage A word of a advice mate take your rod with you and make sure the reel fit properly and feel the balance as sometimes not all reel fit in the reel seat of the rods!
