What have you got planned on the Angling side. For the new year. I still want to get in a couple of Pike fishing trips, in the next month. And fish a lot more venues this year. Last year i fished more than i ever have. And visited loads of new venues, so close to home, i never knew existed, and really enjoyed my angling. So the same this year explore new venues, and have fun.

My plan for fishing this year is going to be the same as last year - still waiting for that exclusive twenty pound mirror carp to come to my landing net Going out piking as well later in January, February and March. Also would like to get back on track for the barbel session in the autum Also I am doing more of the websites fish ins than what I did last year. As the following date are February 28th is the River Itchen, Southampton, May 20th is Wingham, Kent, and on the May 24th is Fritton Lake, Norwich and that is for starters and there more to come during in the year. Maybe I will be doing another fish in at Lodge Pool in the summer - don't know yet after quite a few let downs at the last minute. Plus got some couple of days with Carpy doing a bit of carping on my secret carping pool so I will have to be sure he behave himself nearby the water only joking mate. All the best for fishing in the new year everyone. Looking forward to see the pictures of your catch on the website

Should have a bit more free time this year.Been thinking about putting in a bit of time on a local brick pit for one of its big carp. Not so much the urge to catch a UK 40 but more down to the fact that the general fishing on the water has deteriorated so much.Got no new waters to try as of yet. Must make the effort to do a bit of Zander fishing on the Warcs avon with Andrew this year too.

My main objective is to get out more in 2006, although with 3 young kids and a hectic job that's not easy! Been thinking of doing some specimen fishing (not just carp) again this year. I haven't done much speci stuff for a decade or so. The main reason is that it's easier to look after the kids (and read, talk & watch the wildlife with them) while sitting behind buzzers than waving 16m of carbon around! ;D Wouldn't mind improving my PBs for tench, bream, barbel, carp and pike, but just getting out is more important at the moment.

looks like my plans are scuppered allready! Just found out that they have closed the membership for the Working mans club that run the pond I was hoping to fish.Even though the fishing membership doesnt get renewed till June the actual club membership had to be renewed by the end of last month.DOH! well pissed off.
Best start looking around for an alternative.
