Can anybody recommend a feeder rod for the method. I have a light feeder rod, but i fish a lot on the Teme and the Severn, and will be targeting big barbel. So i need to get beefier feeder rod. Any recommendations.

How much you looking to spend? And do you want to use this rod for both the method (carp/lakes) and barbel fishing?

Right i have a light feeder rod, but no good for fishing for big fish. I will only be using it on the river, mainly on the Teme, which is very fast flowing and holds some big barbel. Price upto £60.00

Dasman, I would suggest the following:
Fox Barbel Duo (1.5lb TC) - comes with a solid Avon style tip and a quiver top with 4 push in quivers, screw reel fitting and ceramic guides. 11ft around £63, 12ft around £67
Fox Barbel Duo XS - same as above but 1.75lb TC. 11ft £67, 12ft £72.
Shimano Hyperloop Barbel Classic (1.5TC) 12ft around £59
Shimano Hyperloop Barbel Power (1.75TC) 12ft around £62.
The Fox rods are marginally dearer but they do come with two complete top sections - one traditional and one quiver. As such they are very versatile. I often use my 12ft Fox rods (instead of normal match gear) for launching big method feeders way out in places like Earlswood and Drayton for big "match" carp.
Depending on how tight the swims are on the Teme the 11ft Fox rods may be an idea. However, I have not had a problem with using my 12ft Fox rods - 1lb TC Specialist (twin top) and Barbel - on small rivers such as the Kennet.

Even better than that - how about the Wychwood Specialist Rods?
Single tip
Code WY1742 12ft, 1½lb T.C. at£49.99 standard river
or
Code WY1744 12ft, 1¾lb T.C. at £54.99 big river
Dasman, I got three of the Code WY1744 12ft, 1¾lb T.C. which I use for specimen stillwater for fishing for bream/tench/roach. Also used it for river fishing as well. It's pure magic and I can not fault it at all.

Knowing that i would be fishing the pool again Went to Fisherman's Freind &spoke to as Syd who works in there &fishes the opens regularily &he reccommended the Shimano Barbel Classic for method fishing on Lodge Park pool. As i'm a Shimano Fanatic nearly all my rod's &reels are Shimano &lot of my tackle as well . So i got 2 of them can't quite remember the price off hand around i think between £60.00 to £80.00.Also got 2 good rods for barbel fishing on the rivers as well.
