I know there is a download version of the SP 2 update but on my moden speed it will take over 3 hours or more to download all the update. Mircosoft do have a disc copy/version of the SP 2 and it is FREE I have order a free copy of the SP2 disc from Microsoft will take about 28 days to be deliver to me Microsoft are asking everyone who do have the SP 2 disc to pass it around to other people who have Window XP version. So soon as I get my disc I will pass it on to anybody who want it. Here the link to it www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx

Nice one mate the upgrade xp2 can be got on disc. you can get it on most computer mag's freebie discs. That is a good point the download for the xp2 is over 200 meg  Eyecrazy not to be tryed on a modem.

Anybody who got Windows XP should have a Windows Update Icon in the Start Menu and run into All Program Menu and the Widows Icon should be at the top of the Menu unless if you have turn it off.
To enble the Windows Update then do this - Start Menu - My Computer Icon - Veiw System Information - Automatic Updates and click on Automatic.
Once this is done you will see the Windows Updates Icon in the Taskbar.

Anglerpaul is it the computer screen which freeze up? If it is' that it maybe that you need to buy a upto date graphic card!
I know because it happen to me when I had windows 98SE. Used to hate when played a game and any sharp movement would cause the screen to freeze!
But have it checked out before you do anything

Right Anglerpaul your problem is down to your video driver. the one loaded by microsoft is a old driver with no open gl support, you will have to download the latest driver for your video card. most problems with the sp2 update happen with early ATI cards. get the newer driver and im sure it will fix your problem ok.
