A lot of the "shows" seem to be like this these days dont they? Often hear that the ones that have all of the latest gear you cant buy it at and the ones you can just have loads of old cheap rubbish.
Only tackle shows Ive ever been to are ones Ive done the security at.Never been that impressed.
I used to like going to the old NASG/NASA and PAC shows though.As well as having a great line up of speakers they would also have a good tackle show with lots of specialist gear at "special" show prices.
For me a good tackle show is about a full range of the latest top quality gear any reduction in prices being a bonus.

Yeah I was interested in Lure Anglers Society show last year just to see the variety of Lures but I can't remember if it was cancelled or I couldn't go bu I nevfer made it!

Most of the stuff they sell at the shows, is stuff the manufactures or the traders haven't sold for the price they try-ed to get. And get lumbered with the stock. Then a new version comes out, the old one obsolete. But if you can pick up a bargain which i have, some show are worth checking out.

The Evesham Angling Weekend i never miss. Matthew Its fantastic to walk the bank, and watch all the best match fisherman do their stuff. You can visit the trade stands and find a few bargains. Get yourself a very overpriced Pork Baguette but But it a weekend i never miss.

Yes mate the old John Smiths. Seen some great anglers their. Ivan Marks, Bob Nudd. Its free and 3 great days. Can pick up some great bargains too.
