I had a good start to the new season on the pool yesterday. First fish after 30 minutes was a little skimmer about 5oz and after a wait of 45mins 7 carp came my way between 5 and 8 lb and one monster got away. I also had a lovely little mirror about 8oz all in 2 and a half hours. Not a bad start I would say. Tightlines.......................

Should be OK at the weekend Matthew. Not been to many fishing this week, but what i have seen of them fishing, was good everyone catching well. The roach and small carp showing well, and the bigger carp also been caught freely. They had a match on the pool last night, but i dont have the match result. Will post it soon.

I went on Saturday, started fishing at 5am (no other bugger showed up till after 8am) and carried on till 10pm. Got Sunburnt, my son joined me in the afternoon and caught his PB carp at 7lb 8oz, and I never stopped catching either, carp from 5- 9lb, a few roach, a few small perch and some of the newly stocked little carp from last year... Brilliant!
