I look in every night but there is never anything to discuss anymore. Its become more of a Bulletin Board than a Forum.
Its a shame.Especially after all the work Frank has put in.I would have thought there must be more LPAA members online who would apreciate their own club website?

Hmmm something not right here!  Our local members couldn't careless if we got a website or not which it is a shame really! Come members let get starting posting on here! Spot on Mr M without a bit of new blood it just turns into a case of posting something for the sake of it and experience shows me that kills sites even quicker.
Andrew I like Mathew only reply if there is something to say.
Mr M why do you miss AN cant you get on there anymore or something?

Initially I was put on moderation and then banned till 2034...

Your member account at Anglers' Net has been suspended. We don't delete them any longer but long term suspension accomplishes the same goal.
Your account will not be functional until Apr 1 2034, 02:20 AM (depending on your timezone). This is an automated process and you do not need to do anything to expediate the unsuspension process.
Eventually I used the data protection act to insist they remove my account and all my posts.
It killed me to do it but it was an issue of principle... You guys know how much time I spent on that forum and how much I learnt. It hurts I will never go to Wingham again or share in the website but that forum went well over the boundary of what was legal and my posts challenging racism, ended in threats of violence etc. and they things kept on being deleted/locked to protect certain people. It couldn't continue.
Do a search for MrMatthew and my 1600+ posts - it's all gone.. dunno about PMs

No... it's no mistake. I challenged the wrong people about all the racist and bigotted rubbish that was being posted, and then I stood up for Rabbit and Newt turned nasty!

There was more to it than that... it ended up with me challenging Newt - I don't think he understands the politic/cultural situation here, and he banned me basically.
Wild West Style...
I am gutted I miss it so much, but nothing to be done about it.

Yes thats a great shame mate.newts a good long time friend of mine but as you say sometimes the difference in our outlook,culture and indeed language can cause him to misunderstand situations.Well youve got my emaill address mate so I know its a poor substitute but always feel free to ask me stuff,tell me stuff or chat angling in general.
Fishing Magic is another good forum you might want to take a look at.
Lets hope things pick up on here a bit.
