Well despite all the hard work put in by both Frank and Andrew last year the forum seems to have hit an all time low!
Its a great shame as a good bunch of guys are members here and the admin guys put a lot of effort in.
I dont post as much as I used to as its hard to keep comming up with new subjects that I hope people will find interesting enough to post on!
Ive got quite a bit of spare time this year so feel I should put some of it into the site. With a veiw to this if there are any subjects that members would like to discuss/know about please just post.I will do my best to answer or if not having enough knowledge to myself will get one of the many top anglers I know to do so.
Also if there is enough interest Im quite prepared to travel to Redditch to give talks and slide shows.
I also think we should have more fishing get togethers on a variety of waters. Not many places (within reason!!) that I cant wangle acsess too so come on all you lurkers get asking, sugesting and telling us what you want from YOUR site!

My fishing, and my brain have gone into hibernation. I haven't had a bait in the water for 6 weeks, which is approaching a record for me. my last trip was postponed by blizzards...
I don't want lots of silly games, which is how some sites keep their post counts up. I wish I could get notifications for new topics when they are posted - I need to check in more often!

hi lads , How are you all sorry i haven't kept in touch more but i'll try to call in more often now i'm forceably retired got made redundant just over 12mth 's ago been unable to find a another suitable job . So decided to hang up my boots pemanently &retire gracefully&go on Pension Credit. So i'll have more time from now on to look in more. Budgie, I agree with you getting together for some days fishing or even weekend's . I've got a contact with water on the river Trent at Barrow for a days fishing or by arrangement a Bivvy up for a few days if needed. Plenty of Barbel coming out also great water for fishing stick float. I only fished pool a couple of times last year.Intend to fish it a lot more this year. Also looking for some one to go out fishing with to various local places. If anyones interested pm me or let me know on here. I have a Bivvy so can bivvy up as well.

As far I can remember it the water should be closed on the April 15th until the 1st of June unless the comittee members have changed it for this year?
I couldn't tell you now as I am not a member of the fishing club anymore.
Best is to do is either contact any of the committee members and they should tell you what is what is the ruling these days!
