So, you have your best fish, but what is your worst ever fish. what fish really makes you not want to go fishing any more. Mine is Perch on all waters and can be a pest. But i must state i still love the perch, they are predators.

I voted for Up to you as Carpy didn't put down Rudd!
I don't mind catching big Rudd, it's the very small one where you have to get the bait pass through them in order to get to the bigger fish!

Poisson chat (brown bullhead catfish) I hate em! Once in a water you cant get rid of them. They mob your bait be it a maggot or a 20mm boilie! Spikey orrible little things that were acidently introduced in France among stockings of Largemouth Bass. They spread like wild fire.Only fish I actually dislike.

Me too Rudd its a fish you can catch all year round, but can be a when the conditions are right, and everything you try dont work. You still catch them.

I get plagued with gudgeon on my local venue. so i voted for them. But when its fishing hard they are very welcome. I had never heard of brown bullhead catfish.

I voted for bleak. I really can't get into them, which is strange being a matchangler who has no problems getting his head down on a shoal of gudgeon. Perhaps it's because they're a pain when I'm trying to catch chub on the wag and mag! I would have to argue in favour of rudd. While the tiny ones can be a pest, I used to fish a water which had a good head of 8oz to 2lb rudd where you could get 30 to 40lb bags of rudd on wag and caster fished shallow at range in deep water. Those where the days. But then the black luffwaffe came along and ruined it.

Right i don't have a fish i hate. When pleasure fishing. But Gudgeon can do my head in sometime, fishing in match's on a local water. And to Budgie i hadn't never caught a brown bullhead catfish, could of don't know what they look like.

I have to admit, on the river, bleak and gudgeon can be a pain....

Thank fully we havnt got Brown Bull Heads in this country yet. They are rife in France now after acidently being stocked in a batch of Black Bass (from the States I believe) Lets hope none get over here in any dodgy French carp importations.

A couple of pound but most are around 6ozs. Hard spikey little critters, eat anything and every thing.More of a problem on a days fishing than any gudgeon, bleak, minnow or small Rudd! I think Andrew may have some photos of one as he caught quite a few when we were last in France. They will even attack a 20mm boillie! whittling it down. They really spoil a fishery.
