I have loads of gear from Daiwa, cheap and does the job for me. And still great quality. On the reel side i would have gone for Shimano. I have two 5000RE Baitrunners, and they are the biz. Do you have your favourites.

Back in the 70's I would have been able to answer this easily. For me ABU made the best rods, reels and lures. In fact all of their gear was superb.Sadly no longer the case.
These days I tend to select specific items from different manufacturers. There is both a lot of great and rubbish tackle avaible now.

Don't really have a favorite, i buy what it like. But i voted for Nash. Because i have had 2 Nash HooligunXS 12ft 2.75lb test curve rods for some time, and i really rate them. Great casting properties, and for the strength of the rod, a very low diameter, which helps to in high winds.

I have a right mixed bag of favourites for different items!
Daiwa for match rods, although I have some nice Fox speci rods.
Garbolino for poles. The french certainly know a thing or two about building good poles.
Shimano for reels. It's all that cycle/gearing technology! But then I have a couple of Daiwa and a Browning reel also.
So, like BUDGIE and boilie, I have no one real favourite.

My favorite company currently is Preston innovations their carbon active range are brilliant. Their poles too are excellent but as in all things competition creates choice and as a confirmed tackle tart and all round poser the old lack of the readies limits one's the amount and quality of purchases.
