I went for MAP. I purchased a Map Matchtek 3/4 jacket, Bib and Brace, and Fleece Jacket, for 89.99. Got it at the john smiths angling festival at Evesham. Great piece of kit. Quality made, and is waterproof. Pockets on the bib & brace every were, very functional.

I have seen the original MAP clothing on offer for 59 quid but I think the one you bought is the lastest and is of a better material well done Frank

Ive not voted as Ive never found one piece of purpose made Angling clothing that Ive ever been 100% happy with!
In all fairness though a lot of that is down to me being a fat thingy! When will the clothing makers realise that 23 stone anglers are not 7' tall?

Have you tried the Protak range they are virtually made to measure as you measure yourself and they alter the nearest size to your measurements. They are on the web just search protak clothing.
I have the same trouble big body short legs.Lost 3 stone to fit in things onlt to have the legs dragging along the floor.

I have an Askari green Neoprene fishing jacket qhich is great, third season, no leaks and mega warm. And it fits me ;-)
I looked at a bib and brace last christmas - I couldn't get one to fit except by having it made, for a lot of cash! Shame because I would like to get some waders but I guess the same problem will be there...

Mr M take a look at the recent "what boots" thread over on AN.There was a link to a site for British Waders (?) used to be part of Dunlop. They want £75 for a set of tailor made chest waders ,which I thought was quite good. They do thigh waders as well and both types are available in rubber or neoprene.A set of good fitting neoprene chesties make a very good substitute for waterproof bib and brace incidently.
With the Bib and Braces issue I was very lucky and (much to Andrews dissapointment) got the last pair of 4xl that a mate of ours used to sell.(To add insult to injury only cost £25 as he couldnt sell the big sizes!).
If ever he gets hold of any more i will let you know.
