Drennan Swivel Stop Beads: The best anti tangle stop for all leads and feeders. Swivels stop beads are an effective anti tangle stop for all running lead and feeder rigs There are three different sizes from: Size 9 (The biggest) will take up to the Breaking Strain of 15lb line or .40 in diameter. Size 11 (medium) will take up to the Breaking Strain of 10lb line or .30 in diameter. Size 14 (smallest) will take up to the Breakong Strain of 5lb or .22 in Diameter. The beads are made of rubber and is designed to house the top ring and the barrel of the swivel and leave the bottom ring protruding and free to rotate. Using a five turn Grinner or Blood knot in the folliwing reel line the knot will fit inside the bead.  As i used it all the time in my feeder fishing and sometimes in the piking as well. In each packet you will get ten swivel which matches the sizes of the barrels (which you will also get ten of them) they will last quite a while you you look after them. Drennan Gripmesh Open End Feeder.  Sizes 15grams, 20 grams, 25 grams & 30 grams Prices are around 50p to 75p depending where you buy them from. A good swimfeeder that does the job and grips the bait well during casting. Weaknesses: Not too good for swims with rough bottoms. The lead weight easily comes adrift. The clips on the lead come away from the body too easily (There are ways to overcome the problems and I use the Araldite glue) and when this happens the body splits and unrolls. The attachment eye is too small. (Again there are ways to overcome the problems -But it can be change for a bigger eye). Overall: A good feeder let down by poor design. Needs another idea to hold it together instead of using the lead folded over the mesh, and fiddly to get a swivel link through the eye. |
