Great venue here: www.fisheries.co.uk/blythe/index.htmIts run by Brittish Waterways and is a well equipped venue. What I like about it is the lack of some of the more restrictive rules you find on some commercials: you can use groundbait, you can use boilies and pellets, you can use big hooks as long as they are Barbless.. ;D Another thing is there is an automatic exit gate so noone harassing you to pack up so they can go home!! I caught my pb Tench of 6lb 2oz there three weeks ago and there is a section of the River Blythe there too, although I haven't fished it yet but 4 pools and a section of river for £6 isn't a bad deal!

Great waters MrMathews fished it many times. Its not far for me, or you to drive to. Tench 6lb 2oz We used to have Tench to that size in the Lodge Pool 20 years ago and then the Tench disappeared. But the last two years they have returned, and you can catch loads around the 1/2 pound to a pound. So they must have still been their all the time. Nice venue Blythe Waters must visit again soon.
