Im thinking of starting up coarse fishing again after 15 years of not doing any at all.
I need to get some decent kit sorted and was wondering if anyone had any advice on the sort of roda and reels I could buy to gte back in to it again..nothing too expensive, maybe £100. Also thinking of spending up to £100 ona seatbox..any suggestions?
I was thinking of getting in to competitions but I dont know where to look for these. Where are they listed??
Thanks for any help!
Nick

Hi Nick and welcome to the forum ;D Well that is one big task on deciding on a new rod, reel etc etc but for one thing I would recommend the Shakespeare Team Seat Box with the Octoplus XL Super Main Frame for the awkward slope on the fishing pegs! If you still got some cash left over I would also get the Shakespeare Top box as well as I just about right for the seating height. I kitted out a long time ago in this set up and even brought the extra accessories like feeder rests, banksticks, multibeams etc etc Here are the link to octoplusFor the Seat box try local tackle shop or online tackle - I brought mine over the WMAC website but watch out for the postage charges! As for rod and reel it is depending on "where" as I can't give you any advice as I don't know if you're going to fish a local stillwaters or rivers or canal for the competitions. You don't have to name the venue. Most competions is won by using poles these days and that will also cost quite a bit.
