Well I took Franks advice and used my whip.Took nearly an hour of steady loose feeding to get them going but this and a rise in temperature soon saw a bite a chuck.Finnished with the best part of 20lb of mixed fish.Had Roach, rudd, perch, gudgeon, skimmer bream and "crucians". I only had five "crucians" and Im certainly no expert but I thought the bright orange fins, general over all colour and the fact that the dorsal fin was set so far back made them hybrids not true crucian.I would hazard a guess at crucian/orfe cross. Not that it matters!
Frank poped down for the morning and it was nice to see and chat with him again.
Andrew targeted the bigger carp with some boillies I had rolled up for him a couple of days before. He managed one of around the 6lb mark.
Im sure in the summer the fishing would be terrific.

Well I am glad you enjoyed the day especially trying cart the seatbox on my fishing trolley You need some lessons on how to stack the trolley up! ;D You did well to catch fish after nearly hour of steady loose feeding mate as it is know to be a hard water in the winter.
