Looks like you had a bit of fun Buzzard! If the rules allow try a live bait mate as I reckon you would do even better. Has the pool done any big pike in the past? and do many bother to fish for them?

Hi Budgie I haven't really got any history on the fish caught. The chap at the corn stores seemed to think there were some 'Big Ones' in there. ( He did add that he has blanks quite often) We did see 2 people fishing for pike the first time we went there but (No one caught including us  ) we haven't seen anybody the last three times, so I don't think its fished much at all. I don't have a problem with live baiting but the chap I go with is not keen so I haven't tried. |

Good to hear that carpy, I am going on sunday with another mate of mine who just started taken up fishing again after a ten year gap. 5th will be brilliant for me because I also got to work on the 4th as well  |
