Yes Dave we will have to do this again and hopefully we try and get MrMatthew and Emma some pike.
I have been surfing the net so far the lures you have got Dave as it did do the trick.
Was thinking last night that I am more likely to carry on piking down at Ispley Pool right up to End of April if necessary.

Is it ok to fish for pike up until then?
I'm no sure on the rules as far as that goes.
But I would like another crack at them ;D

Dave to you mean the so called closed season or the pike welfare?
The whole issue of whether we should fish in the late spring is not for me sometime but I might carry on until end of April.
The pike are certainly very active and fight very hard in warmer water. This though is the reason I often given to other people who I do know who do targeting them in the summer! The oxygen level DO get lower and the fact that they fight harder means that they take a lot longer to recover when returned.
I have no problem with other anglers who fish for pike in the summer as long they should know what they are doing.
