Right everyone, things aren't looking good at the moment, check the pool at 1.30pm today and most of the water was frozen over but the weather is to continue with the deep freeze but this is not going to stop me going out on Sunday. If it freeze again on Saturday night/sunday morning then it will be ice breaking time!
Apparently I won't be fishing but will be acting as the head supervisor so if any one want me to do the "unhooking" then I will be gladly to show you how to unhook a pike.
I got some deadbait but not many! So if you are coming this Sunday please bring some deadbait with you.
So best of luck everyone and hopefully see you all their on Sunday!

Hi Carpy, I would like to fish but I got a few people who have never fish for pike in their lives so I will be supervising and will be happy to show in the rigs/baiting and demonstrating on catch a pike! So any run occur - Who going to show them the correct way of unhooking? So it wouldn't be fair on the pike nor the angler. What I mean was that I will be bringing my tackle with me but won't be fishing as I would be breaking the law by leaving an untended rods/lines in the water so if any other person catch a fish and me showing the right way to unhook them. I presume that we will be fishing the whole pool? p.s. what is a dead dait Carpy? ;D

Well the pool wasn't to bad, today got their at 7.00 and some parts of the pool were unfrozen. So we set about braking up some more swims, and Matthew turned up. So Andrew and Matthew decide to feed is swim with tackle. Firstly a expensive bite alarm, and then a very good abu multiplier. thankfully the reel was retrieved. The fishing was slow, the morning was very warm, but the water temperature was very cold. Dave did catch one around midday. Would have liked Emma and Matthew to catch one. But it was hard today. Maybe we can try again soon. Thanks to all that came, i had a great day.

Bite alarms/pro logic connectors/water? sounds a familiar story to me Andrew!
Good to see Dave had one and a few turned up.Was rang by Mike in the week he may have come up with a good venue for a pike get together in the Midlands. Will follow it up and if all is ok arrange it for next season.
Dont forget that all here are welcome to attend any of the ones I do for Anglers Net or Fishing Magic as well.On the subject of ones for AN Im going to put another week end one on at Wraysbury this Autumn.Might think its a bit far but I think it only takes Andrew 2hours and accomodation is free (er as is indeed the whole weekend!).I was speaking to Les Webber the other day and he tells me that despite being hardly ever pike fished two upper doubles were caught this winter. Will post dates and more details nearer the time.

I enjoyed the day, unfortunatly half the lake was half frozen so we didn't have as many options as we would have liked. The fish weren't interested but everyone was in good humor. and when the sun came up it was quite warm, the coat came off the shades came on. We will have to do it again.
